Abstract

VR is a disruptive technology in many fields, including education. In this article we take a look into the past, present and toward the future of VR in education, and how VR has altered learning and teaching, and has the potential to change pedagogy. Even without a strategic framework, VR has evolved from niche gadget to bleeding-edge tool for delivering learning experiences that can get under your skin. The article discusses: how VR makes learning more fun for students, helps them learn by doing, and overcomes issues traditional teaching methods encounter. But despite all its potential in education, VR has a lot of issues to work out such as cost, technical problems and teachers’ who aren’t interested. This report also discusses what we need to see next for VR in education, and the need to make one last bit of technical progress and establish policies for ensuring that VR is in there in many classrooms. The findings show that VR can significantly enhance learning so that learning becomes more engaging, inclusive, and accessible with further innovative designs and optimal execution.
