ARTICLE SUMMARY

Abstract

“AI-Powered Medical Chatbot” presents the design and development of an intelligent conversational system that leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to provide preliminary healthcare assistance. The chatbot is capable of interpreting user inputs through text or voice, identifying possible medical conditions, and suggesting relevant treatments or lifestyle remedies. It further advises users on whether professional medical consultation is required. The system is implemented using Python, employing frameworks such as Flask and AI libraries like TensorFlow, with models trained on comprehensive datasets comprising symptom–disease relationships. A notable feature includes image-based diagnosis, enabling the detection of visible health issues such as skin conditions through image processing techniques. The chatbot ensures data privacy and security while maintaining compliance with ethical standards in AI-driven healthcare. Experimental evaluation demonstrates high relevance and accuracy in response generation across diverse medical scenarios. The proposed system holds significant potential for improving healthcare accessibility, particularly in resource-limited settings, by functioning as an initial point of contact for users. Future enhancements include integration with wearable devices, multilingual capabilities, and emotion-aware dialogue systems, further contributing to the advancement of intelligent healthcare solutions.
